Explore Napo Lodge and White Sand Forest(10

On the Napo River, 160 km (100 mi) from Iquitos, Explorenapo provides access to the pristine forest of Explorama´s Sucusari Reserve, as well as access to the adjoining Amazon Canopy Walkway, one of the longest treetop walkways in the world. This adventure offers the opportunity to live in an authentic Amazon River style with palm-thatched houses, kerosene lighting and open-hearth cooking in a rainforest surrounding.
The possibilities here are Nocturnal Curassow, Black-necked Red Cotinga, Chestnut belted Gnateater, Ochre striped Antpitta, Leaden Antwren, Short billed Antwren, Mouse colored Antshrike, Banded Antbird, Black and white Antbird, White Plumed Antbird, Bicolored Antbird, Dot backed Antbird, Black spotted Bare Eye, Black headed Antbird, Flame crested Tanager, White necked Puffbird, Spotted Pubffbird, Lettered Aracari, Many banded Aracari, Ivory billed Aracari, White winged Trumpeter, White chinned Saphire, Rufous Potoo, Tawny bellied Screech Owl and many More.

Day 9 y 10 White Sand Forest Allpahuayo-Mishana Reserve have 57,600 ha two kinds of habitat are present there those on Sandy soils, those on clay soils on the sandy soils chamizal and varillal boot of them are very good for bird watching becouse many endemics and very restricted range birds are presents around those habitats. The posibilities there are: Allpahuayo Antbird, Mishana Tyrannulet, Zimer's Antbird, Ancient Antwren, Iquitos Gnatcatcher, Safrom crowned Tyrant Manakin, Chamisal Flycatcher, Citron bellied Atila, White bellied Dacnis, Buff banded Puffbird, Yellow browed Antbird, Blac faced Hawk, Pompadur Cotinga.etc

Iquitos, located in the north of the country have many target s like Nocturnal Curassow and Black-necked Red Cotinga, the Antbirds, Guans, Toucans, Trogons, and Jacamars, Hummingbirds, Woodcreepers, Foliage-gleaners, Manakins, and Seed-finches. We will be visiting new and old river islands, varzea forest, along an old ox-bow lake, terra firme forest. We’ll staying at the 1500-foot continuous walkway through the canopy of the rainforest. This sturdy and easily accessible walkway reaches a height of 115 feet . On our return to Iquitos we’ll spend two full days at the Allpahuayo-Mishana reserve that protects some endangered sand soil forest and in particular look for the recently described birds to science.

Day 01 Explorama Lodge Upon arrival in Iquitos a short bus ride takes you to the Explorama boat docks. A voyage down the Amazon (80 KM/50 mi/1½ hrs) takes you to Explorama Lodge, after lunch a walk in the varzea forest looking for the Orange eyed Flycatcher, White chined Jacamar, white eared Jacamar and many others before or afther diner is posible to observe Tropical screech Owl, Black banded Owl, Spectacled Owl. Night at Explorama Lodge.
Day 02 Full day at Explorama Lodge After breakfast we will be visiting the Janamono island Olive Spotted Hummingbird, Plain breasted Piculet, White bellied Spinetail, Parker's Spinetail, Red and white Spinetail, Black and white Antbird, Bicolored Conebill, Pearly vented Conebill,etc. In the afternoon walk in the Terra firme Forest looking for Wire tailed Mankin, Golden headed Manakin, Blue crowned Manakin, Scarlet crowned Barbet and some antbirds plus Coraya Wren heard a lot dificult to see. Night at Explorama Lodge.
Day 03 Transfer Explorama Lodge to Explore Napo Lodge After breakfast, you will board an Explorama boat for a trip on the Amazon and Napo Rivers (80 KM/50 mi/1½ hrs) to ExplorNapo Lodge. The trails in the 250,000-acre reserve surrounding ExplorNapo are innumerable and offer an opportunity for birdwatching in rainforest habitat.
